Virtualized SourceOne Installation

Folks...Can anyone tell me if there would be support issues with intalling SourceOne (and associated SQL databases) on a VSphere Guest OS that is located on a Celerra NFS Export? As far as I can tell, as long as the networking is optimized...in this case 10GigE on the Celerra, switches and CNA cards..It shouldn't matter...since it's all living inside of a VMFS volume. Any provided would be greatly appreciated.

Our entire SourceOne environment is running on vSphere (however, the backend is Symmettrix, not Cellera).  EMC did the install, but we did have to argue a bit for them to qualify it.

Virtual environment is supported as long as solution/configuration is according to EMC recommendations. i-e Approved by Solutions Validation Center (SVC) Team. If configuration has not been approved by SVC, then I recommend a follow-up with EMC Account Rep. so that SVC request can be made.

Technically speaking, anything under 3000 mailboxes doesn't require an SVC and doesn't need to be submitted to EMC.  Also, as all the components are supported on VMware by themselves (running on supported OS versions), depending on the size of the mailbox base, it potentially should be supported (assuming <3k mboxes).

I've installed this on 100% VMware environments without support issues from EMC (that I know of).  In fact, EMC sales and the pre-sales folks were the ones that told the client they could use an all-VMware solution.  Good luck with EMC not supporting that.  They sold it to the client that way.
