Verify Exchange 2007 OWA Shortcut Support
I installed the OWA shortcut support on our Exchange 2007 CAS server. Everything went smooth, and I am able to restore shortcuts from the 2007 OWA version - so I assume it was successful.
However, when I go to verify that the installation was successful (looking at the log file in the temp directory), I am unable to find an ExOWA2007_Setup.log. I can't find this file anywhere on my server. Has anyone else seen this behavior? Am I correct to assume this is working as expected? I do not see the Legato service listed with my Services as I do on the 2003 server, so I am a little concerned.

- Default install directory C:\Program Files\EMC EmailXtender\ExOWA2007
- Registry : HKLM\SOFTWARE\EMC\EmailXtender
- COM+ component: EMC EmailXtender for OWA 2007
- ExOWA2007 directory mentioned above will be empty and there could be one file eula.rtf
- Logs have been moved to C:\Documents and Settings\USERID\Local Settings\Temp\ExOWA2007_Setup.log
Thanks,
Rajan

What you are seeing in 2007 is right. Install and functionality is not exactly the same as in Exchange 2003. Not only you will not see service but also you will not see log and other binaries sitting in the Program Files sub directories.
There are differences between 2003 shortcut resolution and 2007 due to exchange support changes.
Thanks,
Rajan
