User Cannot Search After Name Change
Hello All,
I am hoping someone can give me some guidance on this. Recently, a user underwent a name change. Now, that user cannot search for their own emails any longer. Where might I begin searching for a solution? Others have had name changes and did not have negative results.
Thanks,
Jason

Hi Jason,
I believe by now you would have already resolved the issue. Data within SourceOne is not only referenced by users display name but it is also referenced by other mailbox properties. For instance in case of Microsoft Exchange one of the main properties is LegacyExchangeDN which should not change within your exchange organization unless new mailbox is created for user. Within SourceOne administration guide there is chapter called identity management which should help you understand what to do. If new user mailbox was created that ended up changing LegacyExchangeDN then you need to add old LegacyExchangeDN along with SMTP and other old properties to the AD/GC for this user. Should you feel you are stuck or do not know what was the old LegacyExchangeDN, I would recommend you to engage SourceOne support team.
In case of HCL Notes environment properties will be different that would need to be maintains in the names.nsf for the person document related to the user.
Thanks,
Rajan
