Upgrading from 4.7 to 4.8
Happy New Year everyone!
Had a few quick questions:
Does anyone have a good rule of thumb for the time it takes to upgrade the database from 4.7 to 4.8?
Can 4.8 run with SQL 2000 SP3?
Can I upgrade while there are some volumes with missing messages?

I do nto have answer to all of your queries but there some information I could share:

ANswer: I personally believe there should not be any problem if only EX is concerned. Just be sure that EmailXaminer will need SP4 for work properly. Support will stick to what is documented in the compatibility guide.
Can I upgrade while there are some volumes with missing messages?
ANSWER: Newer versions of EX installer checks certain directories and registry hives for finding OPEN, Recording, Record Pending and Record Failed containers. If installer finds out any containers that are not closed it would not move on. There are work arounds but that is not advisable unless support official says so. A good idea would be to go from clean environment so that any issues that will occur (if any) after upgrade will not be related to previous install.
