Upgrade to SourceOne, are supprted EX customers entitled to this upgrade for free?

I need to know if a customer with support for EX/UserCache can upgrade their server at no additional licensing cost?

Supposedly customers are entitled to upgrade for free if they're current on maintenance, but there's no migration path from EX to S1.

If EX customers have current Support for EX then my understanding is that upgrade to SourceOne licencing is covered by the Support contract.  There is no direct migration tool available (should be ready later this year) but SourceOne can be run in co-existence (where SourceOne treats the EX data as as data source).  In co-existence users can resolve EX and SourceOne shortcuts - they can search across both EX and SourceOne using the SourceOne Search.

Can anyone confirm that if you currently have EX maintenance that the software upgrade is free?  Our EMC rep believes that you have to purchase SourceOne as an entirely new item and that it is not covered under the EmailXtender maint. agreement.

Current EX Customer with active maintenance contract don't need to purchase SourceOne. They can simply go to powerlink.emc.com and download the software. All they need is the password to extract the software, and password can be obtained through Account Rep.

Customers may have to engage, Professional Services to installation and/or to Upgrade the current environment.
