Unable to configure journallin
EX 4.81.564, Exchange 2003 SP2, Windows 2003 SP2.
All pre-requisites are OK, product gets installed. Journalling is configured on a mailbox store. MAPI prfoile and mailbox are ready on EX server and receive mails for the accounts in the journalled Mailbox store.
I have configured the mailbox connector but mails never get journalled. They are shown for a brief moment in ex90_outbound_queues but they don't go to any other queue. I don't even see the .dlc file being created. DLC is enabled.
I tried removing mailbox connector...activating changes...add it again. Restart EX services, EX Server...create a dummy .dlc file-nothing helped.
I have allready set IDAlgorithm to 128 & MSMQ registry settings as recommended.
Any suggestions.

To me look like permissions issue, EX service account does not seems to have enough permissions. Also make sure thare is AT LEAST one distribution group created in the AD. Without distribution group EX cannot create DLC.
On another note one should not disable DLC in Exchange to my understaning disabling DLC is only for notes.
Also ex90_outbound queue is not for journaling, its for error messages to be sent in notification emails.
Hope this helps,
Thanks,
raj

I checked in Admin guide, EXchange 2007 supports only Envelope Journaling and DLc is recommended to be disabled for that. Is this true?
