Trouble running EX Tasks on Exch2003 servers in sub-domains of same Exchange Org
EmailXtender 4.81.1459
Exchange 2003
EX server is in Forest Root Domain. Using EmailXtract Exchange Servers in Forest Root works perfectly. Creating a task for other Exchange Servers located in any of the sub domains fails.
1. When inside the Task on the Mailbox Tab, Clicking "Test Admin" on an Exchange Server in Forest Root, Admin states "Yes". Clicking on an Exchange Server in Sub Domain, Admin states "No".
2. Attempting to run a task on an Exchange Server in Sub Domain produces these errors:
*** Error Unable to retrieve correct exchange server DN: : UNKNOWN(0x8007203a)
*** Error Mailbox table not available for private message store: : UNKNOWN(0x8007203a)
Security settings of EX account:
Forest Root\Enterprise Admins
Delegated Exchange FULL Admin in ESM at top of ORG level.
Verified that Send as and Receive As are Allowed at top of Org Level, no deny. Also no deny down the tree to the mailbox level
The EX account can open the mailboxes of any users that are in sub domains and that have mailboxes on ANY server.
Thank you in advance for any help.

Hello,
The answer to this was to add WINS to the EX server; to point it to the Forests WINs servers. This totally resolved the issue.
I also added the DNS suffixes to the DNS settings so that all servers would resolve based on host name.
