SourceOne search results response is slow

Hi,

I have setup Sourceone for lotus domino. All the data resides on centera. There is only one server dedicated for sourceone running all services. Data size on centera is 219 GB.

Upon running a simple search query, for e.g how many emails a user has sent last day, it will take 15 min by sourceone search to return the result. Currently only journaling activity is configured.

Any idea why the search results are slow!!! Please share your comments.

Regards,

Atif

Indexes are located on Sourceone server's local drive which has ample space available.

What does the index drive performance look like?

How many drives, drive type, RAID configuration, etc?

You should supply 500 IOPS for the Index drive.

The same considerations apply to the SQL drive layout except 400 IOPS.

Index & SQL Drive I/O is very important for search speed>

They should each be each on their own spindles and if not the IOPS requirements would need to be combined with the requirements for whatever else they are being shared with.

These are minimum numbers for small to medium single server environment to receive reasonable performance.

These change as the amount of data and SourceOne server count increase.
