SourceOne Native archive server question
Environment - Sourceone 6.6
1 Master/Worker/Web
2 Native Archive
1 Worker/web
In the SourceOne console under Native Archive -> Server configuration there are 4 categories Archive, Index, Search, Retrieval. On both of our archive servers we I have search and retrieval checked. Does this mean that search and retrieval requests are actually handled by the Native Archive servers and not the worker/web servers? We're having issues with searches taking a long time to complete, so I was going to add another worker/web to handle more requests. But should I really be adding a Native Archive box? Our workers are never that busy, but our native archives are busy during the day handling journalling jobs and the like.
Just a little confused on what's actually doing the work when a search or retrieval request comes in.
Thanks

It's the native archive role that runs the query - hence is doing the actual searches in the Index or SQL database depending on the type of search the user executes.
