SourceOne Email Archives on Data Domain?

Does it make much sense to store email archives created by SourceOne on Data Domain? A couple of thoughts:

1. Are the S1 archives already compressed?

2. Will there be more deduplication done by the DD to the archives to the extent that it would make putting the archives on the DD beneficial?
