Skipping errors
Environment is Windows 2003, Lotus 8.0, EX 4.81 SP1.
While shortcutting mails I have started getting the error of the type:
Skipping (Note form type: Return Receipt) NoteID: 000020DE
Skipping (Note form type: Notice) NoteID: 0021DA32
I am getting a lots of them and with different form types.
I am also getting a errors like Unable to create ONM file. I think for ONM file error, I can try msgidchecker and/or copy message from BadDirs to queue to get them sorted out but why would I be getting these new "Note form type" errors.
Any ideas.

Please check EmailXtract task properties, you will see that "Item Types" is grayed out. I do not think EX will shortcut items which are not MEMO type. Where as Archive jobs can archive nearly all kind of items.
Hope this helps.

It does help but it would be great if it does not pick up these item at all and then give the skip errors. This would help getting shorter logs and lesser no. of error messages.
I hope ONM file issue could get traced down using MSGIDCHECKER utility.

In regards to ONM issue, if its only happening with few messages it could be because their $reader part would be corrupt. If you like support can do analysis for you and let you know why it didn't get processed
You should use Message ID Checker from HealthCheck util, as opposed to command line utility.
