Shortcut resolution with Domino Servers
Hi there,
have installed EmailXtender 4.81.409 with Patch 452. On the domino servers, only shortcut support was installed (not the journaling component). Have added the entry "ExShortcutServerLocatorPerson=EmailXtender Shortcut" to the notes.ini on two domino servers.
The NAB of the client lists "Last name, first name". So the NAB showed the person as "Shortcut, EmailXtender". Just changed manually the entries (no first name at all, but the last name ist "EmailXtender Shortcut".
Originally I had the error on the domino server:
"EmailXtender unable to find 'EmailXtender Shortcut' user in public NAB.: Unknown OS-error"
This doesn't show up now, but can't resolve shortcuts nevertheless.
Any hints? Thanks and best regards,
Jochen.

We opened a support call to verify whether the listener needed to be installed if we were going to be performing journaling, and only wanted to archive via EmailXtract and subsequently shortcut item.
Support indicated that it was safer and more certain to install the Listener as it automatically performs some configuration that is also required for shortcut support. It is possible to disable journaling via the notes.ini before bringing the Notes server back online.
In the notes.ini file set Ex_DISABLE_JOURNALING=0 to disable journaling. When this entry is set to 0, journaling is disabled; when set to 1, journaling is enabled.
Regards,
Dawn
