Shortcut again, remove message body

EmailXtract 4.81.655

Right now we shortcut messages older than 30 days for all users. What I would like to do is run another job that shortcuts AND removes body messgae of anything older than 1 year to free up more space on the Exchange server. Running another shortcut job doesn't seem to do it, I have to restore shortcuts, then re-shortcut.
Is this by design or am I doing something wrong?

I believe it would mark a mail shortcut when it does it once and then when you try again, it would check the shortcut marker and return without shortcutting the mail.

Anuj is correct.

When we are running a Shortcut task in EmailXtract we scan mailboxes for the standard ipm.note message class. Once the ipm.note message class is identified (providing it meets the user defined criterea) EmailXtract will shortcut the message and replace with an ipm.note.exshortcut or ipm.note.exshortcut.owa message class.

When running a subsequent Extract task against these messages EmailXtract identifies the ipm.note.exshortcut.owa as already shortcut and moves on.

Therefore I would recommend that you run a Shortcut Restore task for mail messages older than 1 year and follow up with another shortcut task that will remove the message body as requested.

Hope this helps!
