Policy Initialization error on EmailXtender
Hi All,
I am having problem while trying to do email archiving using EmailXtender.
I have installed EmailXtender 4.81. Everything is done according to EMC build document.
Mails are coming in Journaling account box and after 2 seconds disappear from its inbox. But no file or container showing in EmailXtender administrator-arhcive. When i check event dialog box there is an error " [Failed to Initialize ExAddrRule.exe] repeated 3 times." & "Policy engine failed to initialize".
Please assist. I have to setup this thing for tomorrow workshop.
Regards..

Do you know if "Emailxtender.dlc" is created?
In EmailXtender Administrator, do you have exclusion rules in the folders?

The error indicating profile, which would normally contain a profile name, indicates that a profile was unable to be generated. This can occur if there is no connection mailbox specified.
Solution:
* Add a connection mailbox:
* Open the EmailXtender Administrator
* Right Click the EmailVault -> Properties
* Choose the "Email Connection Mailboxes" property sheet.
* Add at least one Journaling mailbox. Note that the mailbox added will be polled and processed by EmailXtender.
Activate Changes.

* Add a connection mailbox:
Have already done.
* Open the EmailXtender Administrator
* Right Click the EmailVault -> Properties
* Choose the "Email Connection Mailboxes" property sheet.
* Add at least one Journaling mailbox. Note that the mailbox added will be polled and processed by EmailXtender.
I have done the above steps before submitting this question on forum. But still receive same error.
Please advice...
