Outlook contacts\activities and EX archiving question

First of all, I'm not able to replicate the issue you're experiencing with the Contacts/Activities tab.

I do however, know of a workaround for you.

- Open Search plugin
- Select mailbox you plan on searching (if you had Admin Privileges)
- Enter the following in the "Search For Words" section:
xvmsgclass:1

This will bring back a listing of archived contacts for the user selected.

Alternatively, you can search to see which contacts have been archived by not defining a mailbox.

Thanks Chris. I haven't gone live with EX yet, but I have some users that this would create a problem for.

In case it wasn't clear-I'm not talking about archiving the contacts. If you open a contact & go to the "activities" tab, you will see a lot of interactions with that contact.

If old emailw are part of this list, will the items disappear when the emails are archived?
