Moving Archived emails away from EmailXtender

I will try to explain this properly.

We have our archived emails going through EmailXtender which are stored on a Centera. However we are now going another route as we would like to have each users archived emails put back on a .PST file created in Outlook but mapped and stored on a NAS or some other network share. Now in a test I have done, I have dragged an email from a users archived emails and placed it back in the original Inbox and when i opened it, it actually created a duplicate which seems to be the original as it doesnt have the EmailXtenders's shortcut icon next to it so now there are two of the same emails in the users INBOX.  So what I need to find out is if there is a way we can transfer those without having to open every email so the original is recreated.

Also, when I took another test email and dragged it from the emailXtender archived folder directly to the PST I created and not to the INBOX first like before, it was successful to open it but it seems that it is still being pointed to the Centera as it says "This message has been removed by EmailXtract. Please Open the message to view it" but it takes a minute for the email to finally open.

I saw on another post this guy wrote " all you need to do is create EmailXtract Shortcut Restore job on EmailXtender server. This will restore all the shortcuts back to the users mailboxes. For more information on how to configure jobs you can download EmailXtender Admin guide from powerlink.emc.com website. "

Didnt know if this is relevant.

Any help would be appreciated. thanks
