Index error in OTG log
I've just installed EX 4.7.477 and ebnabled real-time journaling & added the mailbox connector to the EX vault.
I can see that messges are being successfully archived to the journaling mailbox and then pulled into EX. I can see the messages going through the MSMQ private queues OK. I can see the messages building up in the EX Administrator folder OK.
I had a look at the OTG log and saw a whole bunch off errors like this one:-
---------------------------------
* Index Process Error 04/04/06 12:41:08 Error Accessing Container file when processing G:\EmailVault_Index\DropDir\EmailVault_Index_Archive_200604_000_20060404105525_45761ca509e7769770e63882.idxmsg
---------------------------------
These errors only occur between the 2 minute period of 12:41:07pm and 12:41:09pm. The time now is 14:03pm and the OTG log has not recorded any more of these errors since the last one at 12:41:09pm. Any ideas on what caused these errors?

The question is what is running in the EX box around 12:41:08. As dbush has stated, antivirus can cause us some issues. I would ensure that you have the proper exclusions set up on your EX box.
I have also seen this issue arise when a backup is being run on the EX box. If you run backups of your EX box, it is recommended to utilize the Exsuspend utility to pause our services for a pre-defined timeframe.
