How to move EmailVault_Index to another drive due low diskspace

Remove the connection mailbox to stop processing messages. Verify all mail has been processed by looking the the MSMQ. Stop the EX services and copy the indexes to the new location. You then must alter the index location in the registry.

To alter the index location:
1. Select Start | Run.
2. Enter regedit to open the registry edit utility and click OK.
3. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OTG\Emailxtender.
4. Right-click the EmailXtender key and select New | String Value.
5. Name the new string value IndexDir.
6. Right-click the newly created IndexDir string value and select modify.
7. Enter as the new location for the indexes

Restart the EX services.
