how to capture bcc information without envelop journaling
Hi Folks,
we have an upcoming project where in we will be capturing emails using a tool, while sending or receiving emails to our environment with some conditions .when the tool capture those messages toll will send this message to a particular mailbox and sourceone will archive this mailbox using journaling activity .
But the problem is this will not be an envelop journaling so the bcc information will not be able to capture properly and the this will affect the ownership information.is there a way we can capture bcc information without envelop journaling ?
Thanks,
Basu

Hi Bassu,
To my understanding BCC info can only be seen at two location. Senders “Sent Items” folder or envelope of the journal message. Now if envelop is lost then BCC info is also lost unless original copy of the message is archived using historical archive job from senders mailbox.
What are the chances if you talk to the vendor for tool that you are going to use to make sure they leave envelopes intact for the messages that will be passed on for archiving into journal mailboxes ?
I have seen some installs other way around, some companies worked with EMC to have their agents (BCE – Business Component Extensions) work with SourceOne to get copy of messages. Messages will be processed by SourceOne and given to BCE from the vendor for processing. You would have seen this provision when you configure journal activities, there is a section called Business Components. If you like this idea you will have to work with your account team in EMC to find out what can be done.
Thanks,
Rajan

You can only capture what is contained in the message.
