Failed to open shortcut from OWA / 0x80004005 / 0X80040150
Hi all,
We are using EmailXtender 4.8 SP1 and a clustered MS Exchange 2003 SP2.
Opening shortcuts from within MS Outlook 2003 works fine :
- The icon clearly indicates the message as being archived.
- The archived message is retrieved when opened, exactly as supposed to.
Opening the same shortcuts from OWA does not produce the desired result :
- The icon in front of the message is the standard icon (the envelope), instead of the archived icon.
- When doubleclicked, a message containing the following text opens :
' strLogonUser = /
Folder1=http:// /Exchange/ /Postvak IN/
strUrl=http:// /Exchange/ /Postvak%20IN/
nLength=191

Following items might be of interest as well, related or not :
- No, unfortunately I cannot confirm that ALL users are having this problem.
- I have noticed that I cannot log in to the websearch any more.
- I have already checked the permissions of the EX Service account on the exchange server as stated in esg92515
- No, the mail does not contain any foreign or special characters (apart from slash or brackets).
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated...

Hi all,
After a good few days of blood sweat and tears, I finally stumbled upon the fact that the e-mail account that I've been testing with, was configured to be hidden from the global address list.
After un-hiding it, everything seemed to be working properly again.
I hope this post saves some other poor bloke a lot of frustration and time spent on uninstalling/reinstalling owa components...
Thank you all for the help.
