Failed to add data sources - changed exchange journaling mailbox

Hello,

I had to change the journaling mailboxes from one name to another so I removed the exchange mailboxes, and recreated them.

I deleted the Outlook Profile on our SO server and recreated it with the new journaling mailbox.

In SourceOne Console, I am at the point where I was going to create an Organizational Policies and a journaling activity.  When i go to create the journaling activity, I get an error message when using address book to find the journaling mailbox.

Failed to establish MAPI session for user: PRASourceOneA (0x86040C5C) ClassFactory cannot supply requested class  (0x80040111) [ExMMCAdmin.dll, CExExchAddrBook.cpp(129).CExExchAddrBook::Initialize]

Stack Trace:

   at EMC.EX.MMCAdminPluginUtils.ExAddressBookPicker.btnAdd_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)

any ideas?

I don't remember if or where I had to enter the "data sources" before.

Thanks in advance.

The Email Profile on the SourceOne Server should be the Service Account Mailbox and the Profile called EMCSourceOne

The Journaling mailbox is configured in the Journaling Activity, picking it from its GAL entry.

Perhaps I need to do a repair on one of the SO applications so that it notices the changed Profile / Journaling Mailboxes?

Gary,

After changing my Journaling accounts I removed the Outlook profile.  I am logged on as the service account and the profile is set to open the main journaling mailbox.  the profile is now named EMCSourceOne (recreated it)

When I configure the journaling, it is picking the OLD name (PRASourceOneA) of the journaling mailbox, the old name of the profile as well. It is not picking up my change.

I've rebooted, and looked through the entire tree to find reference to it elsewhere....

Old Journaling mailboxes were called PRASourceOneA, B, C

New Journaling mailboxes are called PRASourceOne-USA, PRASOurceOne-Canada, etc.

Assuming you are on the Master Server. Can you please check "MAPI Profile" key value under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\EMC\SourceOne\Settings" ?

The value for MAPI Profile is the old profile:

PRASourceOneA

I can change it to EMCSourceOne manually and restart?

It may have taken this entry at the time of Master Service install?  It may have been easier for SO to just use whatever the default profile is on the Server at any given time.

Please change the value to 'EMCSourceOne' and then re-open console to check the configuration or run activity. No need to restart the services.

These setting are configured at the time of install.

Deleted the registry key and it was recreated when I went to add a journaling entry.  Good to go.

Did you create the EMCSourceOne profile logged in as the Service Account?

My issue was resolve with this step. SourceOne was still looking for incorrect profile.
