Exchange 2010 - adding additional DBs, and retrieval doesn't work
We are expanding our Exchange 2010 SP1 server and adding additional databases. Our environment is Exchange 2010 SP1, SourceOne 6.6 SP1. I realize that permissions need to be set on these additional databases so that SourceOne will function. I didn’t set up the original installation, so I had to follow the setup manual.
I gave my SourceOne Admin account what I thought were the correct permissions by running this command:
get-mailboxserver | add-adpermission -user -accessrights GenericRead, GenericWrite -extendedrights Send-As, Receive-As, ms-Exch-Store-Admin
I moved my mailbox to the new database and tried an admin search since that is our most common type of search. Journaling is working just fine since that is set at the transport level. But retrieval is not working properly.
I am not able to retrieve messages from the admin search to my mailbox from the SourceOne admin mailbox now that I am on the new database. The restore status box says 0 of 1 items processed. 0 succeeded, 0 failed and that it completely successfully. Job management doesn’t show any errors. Exchange shows my mailbox with full access permissions to Source One admin account.
I CAN retrieve my messages to a test mailbox on the old database, so this has got to be just a permissions error somewhere. I just can’t figure this out. Does anyone know what I am missing? Thank you!
