Exchange 2007 OWA support with 2008 64-Bit OS - Supported?

My apologies if this was already discussed. I tried using the search option and didn't find what I was looking for.

In our enterprise we are using (4) individual CAS servers (not clustered).

Each server is running Windows 2008 64-Bit OS and Exchange 2007 SP1.

I'm looking for clarification on whether the 2007 OWA support will run on the 2008 OS CAS server?

Our current production system is running 4.81.1147 on the EX host server and our mailbox server is running 2003 OS with 2003 Exchange. We intend on moving the mailboxes to a fresh 2007 mailbox server with 2008 64 Bit OS and want to be assured that the OWA support for 2007 (ExOWA2007Setup.exe) is supported with the 2008 OS on the CAS servers.

TIA

Hi Glenn,

Yes Exchange 2007 (any SP) is supported by EmailXtender on the following OS:

¿ Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Standard or Enterprise edition (64-bit), SP1 or
higher, (with or without R2)
¿ Microsoft Windows Server 2008, Standard or Enterprise edition (64-bit)

All this information if part of Messaging compatibility guide that you could download from powerlink.emc.com

If you have issues after installing OWA plug-in or while installing OWA plug-in on Exchange 2007 CAS server please speak to EMC EmailXtender Support.

If you have test box I believe you can do a test before you touch production environment. Any any stage if you need official answer you can always speak to EMC support.

Thanks,
Rajan

I'm running Windows 2008 64-Bit and Exchange 2007 SP1 on a VMware ESXi. OWA is running just fine.
