ExAddVolume - duplicate volume names

I am using ExAddVolume to combine the data from multiple EmailXtender boxes. Running 4.81.409 on Windows 2003 SP2. Having an issue where some of the volumes have the same name as volumes already on the server, but we know they contain different data. EmailXtender basically ignores these volumes.

Any way to get them to process without unpacking the messages and running them through again?

But to answer your question, no. I don't think it's possible.

Two EX systems can have same volume names because volume names are based on the time when the first email is being assigned to the volume. For example if volume name is 20070901003506 it means it was created on

So we can see there will be chances when it would be possible. For these containers you will have to choose one of them to be repachaged by using another server. Create a test server with same configuration as the original ones (expecially the folder structure and NO RULES). Unpack messages using ExPackContainer utility and process those with the help of ExBadDirProcessor utility. Once you have the container close it and here you go.

WARNING: I haven't yet tested what I mentioned about, but its the first thought that comes to my mind.
