ES1: How to delete leavers mailboxes 1 year after they left
Hi all
A customer of ours has come back with a question I have troubles answering. When people leave his organization their mailboxes are deleted.
What is the procedure to delete these mails from the ES1 archive? Is there some kind of automation for this regular task?
Thanks a lot, Holger

There is not currently a way to delete an individual's mailbox from the archive.
Your retention period will come into play also.
I believe SourceOne v6.7 is adding this functionality to support our European users where this is a requirement.

Hi Gary
Is there a way to get into contact with Product Management to confirm such functionality for future releases?
Thanks a lot, Holger

Hello Holger,
Gary is correct. There is a user delete feature coming in SourceOne 6.7 that will allow USERS to delete their instance of their message.
Currently in SourceOne only Admins are able to delete messages from the archive and because SourceOne uses single instance storage of messages (assuming all messages are being archived to a single archive folder), a delete would delete the messages out of the SourceOne archive for everyone.
I have attached the Request for Enhancement form in the event you have any other SourceOne enhancement requests.
To submit the form, simply contact support and open a new support case or even start an online chat with of our technicians.
Thanks,
Mark
