EMC SourceOne Search
We currently have EMC SourceOne 6.7 running in our environment. We are starting to see that some people are having issues when they try to access the Web search feature.
When the user enters the URL they are directed to the site properly and authenticated but then the page just shows "An error has occurred"
This only happens a few users and I cannot pinpoint the issue.
Thanks,

Assuming you have not had any other changes or updates to SourceOne, but that other services and such have been updated, this could very simply be that things like IE, Firefox, and IIS have been updated. Quite simply, SourceOne is out of date (6.7 is quite old and should have been upgraded long ago) compared to current O/S and IIS and web browsers.
I would first start with getting SourceOne updated.
Either that, or if you are using SSO, check that it is still set up correctly.
Check your Compatibility Guide.

I understand that it is way out of date but I cannot get funding to update the product so I am stuck with this for now. I have tried different versions of Browsers, clearing the cache, logging in from differnet PC's but the problem still persists. There is nothing in the logs that show any authentication errors either.

Hello Bhayine,
You may find the issue in latest version also. Good you have cleared the cash.
Please make ensure that you have configure Set SPN for the your sourceone website.
Alternatively - you would follow the below steps orderly.
Uninstall - Search
Uninstall - WebServices.
Reboot
Install WebServices
Reboot
Install - Search.

Greeting,
Your site is running a version that is out of support. There used to be an issue with search site if it was configured with single sign on (SSO). This was sorted out.
We would recommend you to upgrade to latest version 7.2.SP2 and if still there is an issue then open service request with EMC support.
Best regards,
Rajan
