EmailXtenter mailbox move

We currently have our journaling mailbox on the same server as our reciepents mailboxes. We see as a best practice that is should be on a seperate server. is there a procedure to move the mailbox in addition to just using ESM in Exchange.(do I need to stop journaling first etc?)
