EmailXtender Errors Notification
Dear All,
We get everyday a huge number of emails from our EmailXtender containing errors in the Event log contents.
It comes with a rate about 1 email/minute, with the following error message:
" * Address Rule Error 01/20/09 00:57:44 Constructing a new Policy object failed. Error : -2147024809".
Sometimes, another error message is supplied as follows:
" * EMail Data Source Error 01/19/09 22:25:44 Failed to build DLC/rules/alias cache - Error: 80004005".
Kindly note that our EmailXtender version is 4.81.655.
Can anybody advice in this issue?

The errors you are seeing is due to the fact that EX was unable to create new DLC file and swap with the one that is already in use.
If EX services are not restarted by default EX will refresh EmailXtender.dlc file every 24 hours. There is a tool called RefreshDLC that one could use to override the 24 hours default. It is discussed in the EX Documentation.
If you continue to see these errors on daily basis please talk to EMC EX support as they will be able to help you in this case. Remember that if DLC is not refreshing on regular basis or gets corrupt at some stage, it could affect EX functionality.
