EmailXtender Client on Windows 7
I am trying to install the EmailXtender client (exClientSetup.exe) on a Windows 7 PC running Outlook 2007. The client installed hangs during the install process and has to be killed via task manager. I have tried installing versions 4.81.1147 and 4.81.1459 with the same results.
Since this is the first Windows 7 PC I've tried installing the EmailXtender client on I am not sure if this is a problem with Windows 7 in general or an issue isolated to this PC.
Has anyone else been able to install the EmailXtender client on a Windows 7 PC?
Thanks.

We have managed to get EmailXtender client onto Windows 7 Enterprise edition, we are currently using 4.81.1147 with Outlook 2007 so it is possible, haven't really had any issues so can't help further however look at local admins and turn UAC off.

Good Afternoon.
It is not recommended to install the Search plugin or shortcut addin on a Windows 7 PC or a 64bit Vista client since they are currently not compatible. Our QA department has not qualified these OS for use.
As far as I'm aware, support for Windows 7 and the 64 bit Vista client will be available in SourceOne 6.6x which is currently scheduled for release in the summer. (However, release date and support for 64 bit clients could change by then.)
As far as EmailXtender is concerned, I have not seen a timetable when a 64 bit client will be supported.

I have had the 4.81.xxxx client successfully install on a Vista x64 system running Office 2007. This system has been upgraded to Windows 7, still functioning fine but it did require a reinstall after the upgrade.
I would suggest disabling UAC during installation if you use that.
