Email icons appear as unread after running shortcut task

Question

We do not want to install the exchange forms, the icons for the shortcuts are ugly. How can we use just regular exchange icons, but not have the icons change to unread once they are shortcut ?

I don't think this is possible. Support would be able to tell you for sure. The shortcut is a special content class: ipm.note.shortcut
Perhaps there is a way to create an icon to your liking that binds to this content class.
