Auditing EX searches in Version 4.70.636

I'm fairly new to the EX world. And I know we are a bit behind here on the version. However, I'm curious to know if there is a way to audit the searches being done on EX. I have been asked by management to report on what people are searching. Thanks for your time!!

The EX audit feature will track supervisory, directed or administrative type searches. If the module is installed you'll see an Audit shortcut in the EX program group.

To my knowledge there is no way to audit user searches.

Yes, Frank is right Audit reports only there to discourage unauthorised viewing and deletion of messages.

But you need to remember that not everyone choose to install Audit reports, you will have to modify your installation if its not been installed on the time of installtion.

Hi: I was wondering if somebody has been able to run these kind of audit to report on what people are searching in EmailXtender or if it is a feature that is not still available.

Thanks

Hi Hugo,

That would be a hard call because if normal user searches are audited then SQL database hosting reports will go out of roof due to the number is entries that will go to the database.

Answer to your query is that user searches are not audited.

Thanks,
Rajan
