When I install IONIX, the INcharge-am-pm and incharge-am show disconnected

I know that I am missing something really easy, but the domains are not connecting.  Can somebody please point me in the right direction?

thanks,

Here are a couple things to check:

Did you set the correct broker when you installed the domain?

What is the output of brcontrol?

What are the domains listed in the global console?

If you are running Linux, you need to start the ic-serviced daemon before you can start the services: /etc/init.d/ic-serviced start

It seems like the INCHARGE-SA cannot access the domain and I cannot login to the domain with a username and password if I manually start it.

Thanks,

Alex

HI ALex,

After installing AM-PM,First think is we have to add same Domian Manager in Global Administrative Console under DOmain,If you have done this then have you added the users in  Global Administrative Console and updated the Entry in ServerCOnnect.conf. on both Sam and Domain manager side.

Please brief us about your Enviroment like where you  have installed SAM and Domain managers is it in the same box or Different Boxes?

Regards,

Shweta

I am installing the SAM suite on one server.  I am also installing the console on the same server.  I click on the console and the four options are MBIM, OI, SA, and INCHARGE-OI.  There is no AM-PM domain listed.  If I enable the INCHARGE-AM-PM domain in the global administrative console, in the INCHARGE-SA console, it says that INCHARGE-AM-PM is disconnected.

I have not added any users so far, I have just been using the default admin with the default password.

Thanks,

Alex

The output of the brcontrol is:

Domain           Host Name             Port     PID State   Last Change Time

---------------- ------------------- ------ ------- ------- --------------------

INCHARGE-MBIM    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX   1110    1232 RUNNING Jul 12 13:52:29 2011

INCHARGE-OI      XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX   1121    1208 RUNNING Jul 12 13:52:30 2011

INCHARGE-SA      XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX   1142    1256 RUNNING Jul 12 13:52:39 2011

TRAP-INCHARGE-OI XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX   1064    1360 RUNNING Jul 12 13:52:26 2011

The broker is installed on the same server.

I just tried doing a fresh install.  I installed the SAM Suite.  I then installed the license server and license.  I then did a dmstart --name=INCHARGE-AM-PM.  I then opened up the console and was able to login to INCHARGE-AM-PM.

I logged in with the default admin and password and the login worked correctly. However, logged in as the admin, I could not import from seed file.  I rebooted the server and the INCHARGE-AM-PM domain did not start automatically as well.

Thanks,

Alex

This is the INCHARGE-SA screenshot after I install the IONIX SAM Suite and Install the license.  Logging in with default admin.

I was thinking that this is the default behavior of the software.  I seem to just be overlooking something in the documentation.

Thanks,

Alex

I had a couple of questions:

Shouldn't I be able to discover devices from the Topology menu in the Doamin Manager Admin Console?

Shouldn't the domain start automatically?

Thanks,

Alex
