What data can be obtained of a mainframe with the discovery?

When you say Mainfraem, what do you mean IBM Mainframe ?

if your mainframe use TCP/IP stack , so you can to discovery some applications and more, if you define finger print for specific ports of your applications.

Yes, the Mainframe is an IBM Mainframe.

Does that means that I can discovery for example J2EE applications, DB2, etc? And what do you want to say with ¿more¿ ?, what kind of information I could get from these applications?.

One more thing, I have tried to create a fingerprint for this purpose, but the option ¿add¿ is disabled, and this message appears: ¿The system is currently accumulating data through a passive discovery process, thus adding fingerprints is not possible at the moment. Please wait until the initial passive discovery phase is complete before continuing with the operations mentioned above¿.

Yes, you will need to wait until existing discovery processes are done before you can make manual changes to the repository (such as creating new fingerprints).
