Subsequent traps coming into EMC Smarts clear the User Defined Fields (UDF). Has anyone modified their Smarts settings or config so that any subsequent traps do not modify the UDF.

Out-Of-Box Smarts subequent traps do not modify the Owner and the TicketID field.

When Notifications state changers, notification properties are updated from underlying domain - in this case INCHARGE-OI.
The DXA that SAM uses to subscribe to notifications from INCHARGE-OI is conf/ics/dxa-oi.conf, has been setup to subscribe to UserDefined field set in INCHARGE-OI.
Just comment (hash #) out the UserDefined field.

Interesting. So to the right of this thread you don't see the following while logged in?
If not, then you should consider posting brand new directly to the community:

Firstly, welcome to the forums, and above all, thank you for being an EMC customer.
Please consider moving this question as-is (no need to recreate) to the proper forum for maximum visibility. Questions written to the users' own "Discussions" space don't get the same amount of attention and can go unanswered for a long time.
You can do so by selecting "Move" under ACTIONS along the upper-right. Then search for and select: "SMARTS".

Hi Chris,
"Actions" only shows up on the left had side and there is no "Move".
The things I can see are "Pending", "Archived" and "Task"
