SMARTS post installation
Hi, apologies is this is a really stupid question - but I am evaluating SMARTS without ever having seen it before so I don't have a system to compare it to.
I am trying to configure SMARTS on a test licence for evaluation purposes (version 8.0.0) on RedHat.
The install has gone fine but the domain managers and the global console do not seem to be talking to each other. I can see from brcontol that the domains are running but the "connection state" as per the available managers dialogue box is "Detached" for all managers.
I have checked and re-checked all the installation pdf docs but I am clearly missing something. I can start the webconsole and the sm_gui but don't seem to be able to make any configuration on them, so I imagine that I have missed something critical during the install!
Many of the installation documents mention the "Global Manager Administration Console" which I don't seem to be have access to.
Could this be an issue with the temporary licence that I have installed? Is there a command to check the temporary licence status all I can see relating to licensing in the logs is the below (taken from INCHARGE-OI.log)?
ICF-N-LICENSEDFEATURE-Enabling the following licensed feature(s):
InCharge For Open Integration
Status Views
SAM Viewlets
SAM Web Console
Configuration Manager For Service Assurance Manager
Thanks in advance
GB

Hi, usually you should configure connection between Global Manager and Domain Manager under ICS Configuration > IC Domain Configuration in the Global Manager Administration Console. But you said you can not access it, have you installed the Global Console?
