Selective classification?
This may be a tricky one...
I have a certain device type that I classify as my own custom router class based on sysObjectID in my field cert file. This works fine, but now I have a customer that uses the same device type (i.e. - same sysObjectID) for two different purposes - sometimes as a router and sometimes as a firewall.
Does anyone have any good ideas of a way that I can add a post processing discovery script to look up the "intent" and make a classification decision? I can put the intent into a flat file.
Thanks,
Karl

Please consider moving this question as-is (no need to recreate) to the proper forum for maximum visibility. Questions written to the users' own "Discussions" space don't get the same amount of attention and questions can go unanswered for a long time.
You can do so by selecting "Move" under ACTIONS along the upper-right. Then search for and select: "Smarts" which would be the most relevant for this question.

Interesting... We'll start working on it. Very helpful.
I'll post our results.
Thanks,

Hi Ray,
Berkay and I are working on this now... We are struggling to piece together how the field cert ties to driver in the .import file... Is it by convention?
Thanks,
Karl

Also, if we add a log statement, would it go to the domain.log file?
Thanks,
Karl

Any way to load .import files beside a domain restart?
Berkay and I have everything else working, but I would prefer to not have to restart...
Thanks,
Karl
