Scheduling Maintenance on Interfaces?
Is it possible to Schedule Maintenance on Interfaces? I am using SAM 8.1.2.3. Interfaces are not available from the Topology Browser. When I try to Schedule Maintenance from an interface notification, it tries to set the schedule on the whole router, not just the interface. I’ve also tried using the bulk maintenance adapter, but I get the following error:
sm_adapter -s SAM -f /opt/InCharge/SAM/smarts/local/actions/server/InMaint/int-maint /opt/InCharge/SAM/smarts/rules/ics/ics-bulk-maint.asl
Server SAM User: admin

Starting the Bulk Maintenance facility (ics-bulk-maint.asl) against domain SAM
Ignoring invalid data record: [Interface IF-router.emory.edu/15 6-4-2012 13:40 6-4-2012 13:45]
The file int-maint has one line, as follows:
Interface IF-router.emory.edu/15 6-4-2012 13:40 6-4-2012 13:45
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Update:
I wrote a script that creates cron jobs to dmctl unmanage and manage the interface(s) on specific dates and times. Not the best solution, but it will do the job.

Hi Steve,
Not sure if you are still looking for more help or not. But if you are, please take a look at KB emc267837 that covers "How to Bulk Manage/Un-manage instances or class objects in the IP domain.
Hope this helps,
