SMARTS can notify by e-mail.
I think this function meets your requirement.

hi,

if you want to send and sms for exmaple, just find an application that send them.
And use the escalation paths to execute the applicacion whenever you receive a notification.

cheers

thanks,

i am aware there are many methods to get a notifacation to someone via email / script adapters, what i was hoping for is something a bit more interactive, ie global console on a pda.

i havnt tried this yet, will do soon, but has anyone run the webconsole java applet on a windows mobile PDA?

i am aware that windows mobile doesnt come with a JVM installed by default, but there a a few commercial and free ones availble for Windows Mobile.

Cheers

well,

never tried that ... it seems that java is supported for windows mobile devices
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/jre/install-windows.html

but i don't know which internet browser is the mobile device using
This what the SMARTS manual states it's required for the web console
Users who display dashboard viewlets in a Web browser, or wish to use the Web
Console, require the following software.
◆ One of the following Web browsers:
¿ Internet Explorer 6.0 with Service Pack 1
¿ Netscape Navigator 8.0
¿ Firefox 1.5.x
¿ Browser that supports Java JRE 1.5.x
◆ Java¿ 2 Platform Standard Edition 5.0 which includes the 1.5.x Web browser
plug-in

i guess the best way is just test it ...

good luck
