Is any other authentication mechanism other than CAS possible for Smarts EDAA?
Hi All,
We have setup Smarts EDAA in our environment, however we do not have M&R server and hence not enabled CAS authentication as mentioned in EDAA documentation. For now, we have disabled CAS authentication by changing cas-config.xml and able to access EDAA URL's without passing any credentials.
While I am trying to find alternatives to setup any other authentication mechanism without using M&R, could anyone of you please suggest if you are aware of any approach by which this can be done ? If yes, please do let me know as it will be very helpful.
Thanks,
Johny Jain

Johny,
Thanks for your question. I am looking into this for you. How soon are you wanting to implement such a scenario?

Hi Bruce,
I am looking for this option within next 2 weeks. I did try setting up basic authentication using tomcat web.xml which worked for GET operation, however it didn't work for POST as the Smarts EDAA class files threw exception.
Thanks,

In order to accomplish what you're trying, you need credentials, so that REST API's aren't configured to create an insecure environment.
This will require some customizing in Smarts. If you'd like I can put you in touch with our Professional Services, they'll be able to assist with such customization.
