IP domain to use either the seed name or the resolved name
This is a new Support Solution.
Extract from Solution emc145403 How do i configure my IP domain to use either the seed name or the resolved name to name devices during discovery?"
Prior to 6.2 SmartPack 2, the value for NameFormat was set in discovery.conf. This value still exists in discovery.conf but is no longer used to set the value within the AM(-PM or DM) domain. In SmartPack 2 for 6.2 and newer releases, a new file, name-resolver.conf, was introduced and is used to set the value for NameFormat.
