open Domain Manager Administration Console, attach to AM-PM (or PM), launch Polling and Thresholds, open Thresholds tab, expand the Polling groups tree, System Resources Group. There are several instance groups, composed based on matching criteria, Find your Sun host in these groups "members" list or put it in another group using "matching criteria" if you want to, and then enable CPU load analysis and set up a notification threshold for group containing your target host. Hope this will help.

upd: this is well-documented. refer to "ip configuration guide"

Hi NVV, I did so but SA just could not generate notifications. cpu utilization percent threshold is set to 1%, when my cpu utilization percent reaches 3%, notifications still aren't generated on the sa gui.

Hi KurtXu,

Is your T5220 discovered correctly? PM must know that the T5220 "Composed Of" CPU, Memory, etc

and check notification filters. just in case.

Hi :
it is discoveried correctly, but the oid doesn't have value,so I switch to a windows xp which can be walk out the cpu percent, but notification still doesn't generate.What kind of filter do you mean?

The filter he is referring to is most likely the Notification List filter; Configure->Global Manager -> Notification Lists->[filter name, e.g. Default]->Edit Filter

If you had say, the class attribute with a filter of "~Host", you wouldn't see the error (hypothetically).

If you open a Topology Browser and find the host, right click it and say 'containment', do you get a 'Processors' tab?

Hi kelvinn:
I see the filter as you mention and find out there is no filter item like you say. After clearing all item, I can only see some other nofication say the host is Unresponsive when it is shut down.
I run command and can see below info:
c:\InCharge7\IP\smarts\bin>sm_adapter -s INCHARGE-PM --subscribe=CPU_Performance_HostResources::.*::.*/pave
