HierarchicalGroup problem
Hello All,
SAM version
SAM_SUITE: V7.2.0.8(85344), 26-Nov-2008 11:58:26 Copyright 1995-2008, EMC Corporation - Build 19
Foundation V7.2.0.1(85158), 18-Nov-2008 18:24:08 Copyright 1995-2008, EMC Corporation - Build 34
We have a problem with HierarchicalGroup.
For example as we can see "MSS" is Main group, that has "ATS1" group and "ATS1" group has "ATS2" group.
each "ATS " group has 1 member Switch and DSLSwitch (DSLSwitch is our defined class, refined from simple Switch class), but in Groups Configuration we can see it as members.
So, the problem is: We can not see devices that ATS1 group has on the Map, we can see only ATS2 devices.
We noticed that, If HierarchicalGroup has members and it has other HierarchicalGroup, then, on the Map we can not see first HierarchicalGroup members, but in Group Configurations - we can see memebers.
This is topology.data.template file code:
HierarchicalGroup "MSS1" children "ATS1"
HierarchicalGroup "ATS1" children "ATS2"
HierarchicalGroup "ATS1" members Switch::swats243.bbn.tomsknet.ru
HierarchicalGroup "ATS2" members DSLSwitch::10.13.140.6

After investigation with EMC GS ....
This is mentioned explicitly on page 87 of the SAM Operator Guide:
¿For a high-level group, individual members not assigned to any subgroups do not
display in a map. Members are only displayed for groups that do not have
subgroups.¿
