Hello EMC community

I am fairly new to this community and need to know few thing for EMC Smarts 9.4.1 tool.

How to tag/group devices and interfaces such that those interfaces can have custom Escalation Policy.?

For example, I would like to send High Utilization notifications from only few devices to an external webservice. I have created Escalation policy to trigger script which makes the webservice call. I can edit escalation policy to only include device with a certain Element name but then I have to give not matches rule for another escalation policy where I donot want this to be handled. Is there a way I can use "User Defined" attributes or some kind of tags/groups instead of specifiying each Device name.

If someone can guide here that would be great.

Thank you.

I would just use an escalation policy to filter select the nam*es of the instances. in the other policy I would just use an inverse filter to keep the same devices out of the policy.  Maybe I am oversimplifying, but the language used was not well formed.

Thank you for the response Dave.

But it would be a cumbersome process to add/remove 100 devices/interfaces names in multiple escalation policy.

Is there a way to tag/group these devices & instead use TAG/GROUP/USer-defined attribute name in escalation policy.
