EMC Network Configuration Manager with RSA Token Service
Need information for EMC Network Configuration Manager work along with RSA Token Service?
For what purpose RSA token service is used? Is it used for initial application login or for scheduled job or is it used for both?
Is soft token or hardware token service?
Will it inter-operable if NCM is installed on Linux and RSA token service is installed on windows environment?

Pawanjit,
Thank you for contacting Dell | EMC Community.
The RSA token Service is used to provide another layer of security on logging into the NCM application. The RSA token server doesn't care if NCM is installed on a Windows or Linux server as it only points to RSA Token Server which is a Windows machine. I'm researching your additional questions and will provide an update tomorrow.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply but I am looking for the information how RSA token service works at application level as well as device login level?
How robotic accounts can adhere to multi-factor authentication using RSA token service?

Pawanjit

Pawanjit,
RSA tokens provide a means to allow users two-factor authentication access to the Network Configuration Manager Client Application. The users will have a password or pin plus the authenticator, to gain access to the NCM application. There is no RSA token service for device level logins, there is however a client that sits on the device server, but Do not launch or use the RSA SecurID Token GUI on the server running the RSA Token Service. This causes the local RSA Token Database and the Network Configuration Manager RSA functionality to become corrupted. There are no robotic accounts that use the multi-factor authentication.
Please let me know if this answers your question.

Can you please explain the process/flow of the authentication request? How it traverse between various systems?
