Different thresholds for different temperature sensors.
I'm trying to think about the solution and
that's what comes into my mind: To create additional
group in the
Thresholds
console by icf/settings.conf
threshold category TemperatureSensor Temperature sensors threshold Configurations
match IsManaged TRUE
Note: category matching class is "TemperatureSensor" and not "ICIM_UnitaryComputerSystem".
Then, to create different groups with filters by Description field and for each group apply settings with different threshold values.
But, I'm not sure that it should work :-)
Any ideas about how to realize this ?

Hi Hemul,
happy new year! I'm not sure to understand all your needs, so this may look at a stupid question but : why don't use just create another group in the Polling and Thresholds console, using the copy feature ? Then you just have to change the thresholds and select patterns.

Happy new year!
The point is that threshold may be assigned for device only. If device has more than 1 temperature sensor the threshold will be same for all temperature sensors.
The question is, how to set different threshold for each temperature sensor?
May be i mistaken?
Best Regards, Hemulll.

Hi Hemul,
I didn't catch this was for different temperature sensors in the same device. I never try the .conf to add groups.

Hi Fred.
I tried to create new Group with settings.conf, but have no luck. It possible to solve my issue with creating new threshold setting with 2 different thresholds in same threshold setting, it implies modify original code, but I trying not to do it.
I develop new setting only for checks that emc smarts not contains originally.
I was upset by the fact that EMC employees who work in Ionix support and in the PS does not guide us on the right way, in many forums such interventions by vendor employees are practiced.
I understand that we leave out of work the P.S but to refine the system and not seeing the source code of model is very difficult
Best Regards
