Unable to apply ESRS update 3.40.00.14
After I click the Apply button in the GUI, it just waits forever and does nothing. I've tried restarting the ESRS server and applying the update again with the same result. Any idea on how to get this to apply? Or perhaps where the update log files are located so I could look at them?

I think it's a known issue, we had similar issue and EMC support help us address it.

please use this script to download the 3.40 upgrade:
cd /opt/scripts/esrsvescript-linux/bin/
./downloadISO.sh
use the –resume option if internet connection is unstable and keeps dropping After the script completes successfully go back to the webui to apply the 3.40 upgrade. First reboot will happen almost straight away.
Upgrade will take an hour at least with three reboots, upgrade can be monitored via the hypervisor console and after the second reboot (you can also ssh in after ~10 minutes) via tailf /var/log/zypper.log Do not reboot during this phase. With the last reboot the upgrade is complete.

the above script is only applicable to upgrade from 3.38 to 3.40.
in your case you should see 3.42, not 3.40.00.14, it looks like your VLM is broken.
try "zypper refresh" if that fails/times out open a ticket with us.

Thanks for your reply.
"zipper refresh" is up to date but no change on the webinterface.
Maybe someone can provide me with the 3.42 ISO file so i can put it manually to the download directory on the appliance?
thanks
