How to forward ESRS communication via internal e-mail

We use ESRS 2.14 to monitor DMX, VMAX and Cisco switches.

Recently a hard disk failed in the VMAX and ESRS alerted EMC support which in turn sent an email to notify us that a support ticket has been opened.

Can I configure ESRS to send such alerts also directly via e-mail to us? I mean in addition to the alert function to EMC which should remain untouched.

Thanks!

You can't configure the ESRS Gateway server to send you alerts but the Symmetrix can be configured to send you the same email alert that is sent to EMC.  You must have port 25 open from the Symmetrix service processor to your SMTP server and the SMTP server must be configured to accept an email from the Symmetrix service processor.  Open a service request and your local account team should be able to do that for you.

Thanks, it worked! Just a pitty that the VMAX sends BASE64 encoded XML files which makes it a bit tricky to view them on a mobile device.
