Have a VNX with 7.1.56-5 that should have ESRS2 on Control Station, but client not there why?
I've compared another VNX array with 7.1.56-5 (came from factory with that rev) and it has the ESRS2 IP Client daemon in the /etc/init.d folder, however, on this array that was upgraded to 7.1.56-5 when you su to root it pops up the message that you can configure esrs on the control station, but each time I try it failed. Then as I looked around and compared I noticed that it didn't have the IP Client in the /etc/init.d folder. Why isn't it there? How do I get it there?
I noticed that both have the ESRS-2-0 rpm package installed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ken

Hello Ken; usually this would be shown after the Control Station has been provisioned , usually by a authorized EMC or Partner field personnel. They should use the GUi installation and refrain from using the CLI interface initially. The product needs registration prior to the install , and a authorized Powerlink account. The most common issues are Ports that are blocked or not open. Powerlink account, and Registered Product not matching site ID or not registered at all.
Has this been provisioned yet?,
