ESRS VE vmware tools and VM version
I noticed that SLES based ESRS VE appliance for VMware does not have vmware tools installed out of box and VM version is 4 (i believe for compatibility reasons).
Is it safe and supported to upgrade virtual hardware to latest version and to install vmware tools?

I've opened a SR.
Answer: The report back from the development team is that VM Tools is not officially
supported on the server.
