ESRS MFT and VNX

I have a question.  I'd like to start leveraging MFT over ESRS if we can utilize it during an ESRS session.  Is there a way that we can directly access MFT over ESRS while we are in a support session, or does MFT only work in an automated way?  For example, can I SFTP to an IP address while I'm connected to a system over ESRS?  For sites which have only ESRS access, this would be extremely helpful. 

What I have to do now is open a FTP over SSL session to the Control Station from my workstation using the default ESRS IP address (usually 127.1.1.1), and then once I have retrieved the files on my workstation, I have to open another session to MFT and put the files.  It would be awesome if I could connect from the Control Station to MFT to move files manually.
